A Quiet Day

We had a day at sea today on our way to Ushuaia, Argentina.  Sailing through the Beagle Channel, we noticed the landscape starting to change.

The Channel is named for that famous Beagle...no, not Snoopy...the ship Charles Darwin was on when he first started formulating this theories about evolution.  The wildlife down here promises to be abundant, native, and oh so very interesting.  When we land tomorrow, we have a 4X Land Rover tour that includes a sub-Antarctic forest hike, panoramic views of Mount Olivia, the White Dome, and the Bonete Mountains.  We'll visit the glacial valleys area and a sled dog kennel.

After our tour, we'll have time in town to shop for "end of the world" souvenirs and have a beer at the southernmost brewery/beer hall (there's not too much information about this, so we'll have to explore a bit).

We should have lots of pictures to share!
